Each time he touched the ball, the entire stadium erupted in shear mania, thousands of bulbs flashing in unison. He didn’t take over the game, but he did exhibit the creativity, nimble dribbling, and point-guard-like, no-look passing for which he is celebrated – and all with a smile. Even Kobe Bryant, in attendance, had to have been impressed. His star power was undeniable. Suddenly, $30 million a year didn’t seem so outlandish.
